چکیده

Currently, the number of urban garden green spaces (GGSs) being constructed in Beijing is increasing, and their high water resource demands contradict severe shortage situation that restricting construction economic development. This has created an urgent need to build water-saving GGSs. study analyzed compared daily/annual consumption 79 common plants Beijing, low-water-consumption (LWC) trees, shrubs herbs were selected; additionally, total annual (TAWC) all built-up areas 16 districts was calculated according result eighth general survey landscaping resources Beijing. The results are as follows: (1) fifteen LWC tree species selected from among 25 species, average daily (DWC) <1.09 kg·m−2; (2) nineteen 35 shrubs, DWC <1.17 (3) eleven 19 herbs, AWC <460.3 (4) TAWC herb GGSs 1.104 × 109, 0.139 0.16 109 m3, respectively. Based on above results, it estimated approximately 1.403 m3. These findings provide a better understanding GGS cities semiarid semihumid climates can be used help select greening reduce when expanding cities.

simulation and experimental studies for prediction mineral scale formation in oil field during mixing of injection and formation water

abstract: mineral scaling in oil and gas production equipment is one of the most important problem that occurs while water injection and it has been recognized to be a major operational problem. the incompatibility between injected and formation waters may result in inorganic scale precipitation in the equipment and reservoir and then reduction of oil production rate and water injection rate. ...

Comparison of Applied Water and Estimated Water Requirement by WUCOLS and LIMP Methods for Golha Garden in Isfahan

Creation and conservation of urban parks is challenging in arid environments where daily thermal extremes, water scarcity, air pollution and shortage of natural green spaces are more conspicuous. Water scarcity in the arid regions of Iran is major challenge for water managers. Accurate estimation of urban landscape evapotranspiration is therefore critically important for cities located in natur...

Fuzzy Approach for Water Desalination Plants Selection

Seawater desalination plants have been utilized to supply fresh water to the State of Kuwait since the early 50’s. In spite of the fact that there are several types of desalination technology that can be used more efficiently and economically, one type of desalination technology, namely multi-stage flash (MSF), has been used extensively in Kuwait. This work is an attempt to identify the most su...

Characteristics of water consumption in water-saving winter wheat and effects on the utilization of subsequent summer rainfall in the North China Plain

Winter wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) grows in dry season but summer maize (Zea mays L.) coincides with rainfall in the North China Plain (NCP). Increasing rainfall use efficiency and harmonizing its utilization between the two species is an effective way to mitigate impact on groundwater deriving from wheat irrigation. One to four times water supply (W1, to W4) were employed in wheat, three wate...

Investigating strategies for optimum water usage in green spaces covered with lawn

Water supply of green spaces in arid areas is a major challenge. A high percentage of green spacescreate lawns, which are high water consumer landscapes. Due to the environmental, recreational andathletic values of lawns, they are considered as non-removable elements in urban green space development. This paper reviews and discusses strategies for efficient water usage in lawn areas using librar...
